Love/Fear Bush

Inspired by Yoko Ono’s Wish Tree at MOMA (NYC), I have hung bronze garden tags on the native ceanothus bush in front of my home. One side expresses a love, the other an inversive fear. I invite houseguests, my neighbors, and passersby to contribute. So far we have in part: friendship/loneliness; life/cancer; growth/stagnation; belonging/no belonging; going first/withholding; commit/demand; be joined/be left behind; express your need/call it quits; deny repair offers/create dialogic space; soul half in/soul half out; cherished/abandoned; celebrated/diminished; held up/held down; reciprocal/black hole. How does the airing of light/dark energies grow individual/communal healing potentials as the bush grows?
